With the application of TULO, our technical platform for mobile business solutions, Ålandstidningen offers ready-to-use services and concepts for mobile telephones. The purpose of this is to increase the newspaper’s income and the interaction with the customers.
How we thought – what we did
Ålandstidningen became a TULO client at the end of 2010. Adeprimo has been commissioned to offer, maintain and assist the regional newspaper with mobile business solutions.
Ålandstidningen mainly uses the TULO platform for competitions and various forms of text/SMS services. The possibility of ordering an advertisement and taking part in a competition using text/SMS has simplified the procedure; both for the customers and the newspaper. The newspaper also has good experiences from voting made using text/SMS.
- We used to have a similar system but changed since TULO seemed more up-to-date, more deliberate and specially designed for newspapers. Furthermore, the fact that TULO is in Swedish and that there is a strong commitment to further development turned decisive, says MD Dan-Johan Dahlblom.
For Ålandstidningen this is just the beginning. The company is looking ahead at selling single copies against payment via text/SMS and to sell on the service to the newspaper’s corporate customers, for use in consumer clubs etc.
