Polaris Media
The Norwegian media group Polaris Media wanted to create a common platform for text/SMS services for the whole group. The purpose is to increase the newspapers’ earnings by reaching the readers on a channel they always have at hand - the mobile telephone.
Adresseavisen is one of the newspapers in the group. By offering the readers services which are practical, relevant and worth paying for, the newspaper wishes to strengthen the readers’ loyalty.
HOW WE THOUGHT – WHAT WE DID
Our assignment includes offering, maintaining and assisting the newspapers in sharing mobile business solutions. Besides the internal text/SMS services, Adressavisen aims to offer its customers a mobile customers’ club to increase revenue and add value to its corporate customers. The project has only just started but has so far been well received.
During the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo, a test was run where people could text the solutions for a Worlds’ crossword, and this proved highly popular. This was so popular that the newspaper is considering allowing all the newspaper’s crossword solutions to be delivered via text/SMS. Adresseavisen has put together an internal project team of four persons, all working full time with Tulo.
- We have great confidence in the Tulo platform and its potential; not least considering the possibility of exchanging experience with Swedish and Finnish media groups. The benefit of this cannot be estimated but we value this highly, says Arve Bremseth, Project leader Mobil Medielab, Adresseavisen.
